Some information on the EDG RC configuration
This information is strictly non-authoritative. Do not use it
unless you know what you're doing.
You can get from here:
- Configuration files for the slapd (OpenLDAP 2+) for running the RC
- a schema file for use with GDMP.
Note: this schema file
is reverse-engineered form the sample RC at CNAF, and
only recently (2002.01.09) tested against a GDMP server.
It seems to work.
Note2: the OID's used in the schema are taken from
the NIKHEF OID space for testing. These OID may not be used
by other organisations, are assigned only temporarily and must
never be exposed to any kind of outside world.
If you start running with this schema, change the OID's
used by ones from your own organisation. You are not allowed
to use any OID that starts with 1.3.6.1.4.1.10434.*.
- a startup file for slapd.
- a piece of sample LDIF taken from an Alice RC after some filling
with a GDMP server (bogus files).
Now, after all the warning, get the following file(s):
- rccat-20020109.tar
- Tar file with slapd.conf, the schema file for the RC, etc.
You still need to modify some paths in the slapd.conf and
setup your own RC base DN's
- alice-rc-gdmp.ldif
- Example LDIF output for an Alice test RC.
- rc-slapd.conf
- slapd config file (same as in tarball)
- rc.schema
- RC schema (same as in tarball)
PLEASE change the OID's before you start using this file!
